The Board of Trustees of Harbor Funds has appointed Mr. Douglas J. Skinner to serve on the Board as an independent Trustee. His appointment will become effective on January 1, 2020.
Mr. Skinner serves as the Deputy Dean for Faculty and Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Accounting at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has served on the faculty at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business since 2005. Prior to that, he served on the faculty of the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, since 1989. Mr. Skinner holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics in Accounting and Finance from Macquarie University in Australia and a master's degree and PhD in Applied Economics: Accounting and Finance from the University of Rochester. Mr. Skinner is a native of Australia.
Mr. Skinner succeeds Raymond J. Ball, who will be retiring from the Board of Trustees effective December 31, 2019 after serving for 14 years. Mr. Skinner will also take on the role of Audit Committee Chair from Mr. Ball as part of this succession plan.

The Board also appointed Kathryn L. Quirk to the role of Lead Independent Trustee. She succeeds Randall A. Hack, whose term as Lead Independent Trustee was expiring. Mr. Hack remains a member of the Board.
